Atlantic Marine and AviationGroup News & Press information - 2012/13August 2012 - Atlantic Marine expands the managed fleet as Atlantic Carrier, arrives alongside from Rio, Brazil and joins Atlantic Guardian in Great Yarmouth. Atlantic Carrier then enters a full refit in preparation for her next charter commecing Septber 2012.
Mar 2012 Atlantic Cougar and Atlantic Marine exhibit at Oceanology 2012. the 30M Catamaran, Atlantic Cougar, equipped with a ground breaking design of personnel transfer to her bows, was alongside at London Excel for the Oceanology Exhbition.
Feb 2012 Atlantic Cougar has a new bow landing system fitted with pneumatic dampers and load cell read out for accurate bridge control of impact and pressure to TP transfers. ATLANTIC COUGAR This 30M support 'CAT', the 'Atlantic Cougar' offer full Dynamic Positioning and Joystick control via multiple (retractable) thrusters and CP props. Accommodation/cabins on board for 12 passengers + crew and the capability for bow transfers to Monopiles with almost zero impact using her positioning systems. Available for charter from Dec' 2011 June 2011: Atlantic Marine takes over the management of the 60M, MV Atlantic Surveyor. Initial survey charter works for FUGRO Alluvial on CPT and Vibracore duties in the Dutch Sector. From August 2011 on long term charter into the London Array Winfarm.April 2011: ATLANTIC MARINE HEADS INTO THE WIND! Atlantic Guardian commences operations on the Sheringham Shoal windfarm. Now on long term T/C for clients working on the Sheringham Shoal operating as accommodation support, supply and logistics suppor roles. Atlantic Guardian upgrades the following areas: New Mess, additional lounge, refurbishment to 10 cabins and upgrading of accommodation to take 30 persons. Also a new windfarm landing stage fitted to the stern. March 2011: Atlantic Marine announces the impending take over of two further ships! An 80M LOA (3700 GRT) DPII DSV vessel and a 62M Supply/Survey ship, both due for delivery in May/July 2011.November/December 2010: Offshore Rig supply work for ship, Atlantic Guardian and Public flotation commences for group company, Avtech Aviation and Engineering PLC.October 2010: Atlantic Guardian completes six weeks offshore PLGR cable route clearance on the Sheringham Shoal windfarm development for Red 7 Marine, Dong and VSMC. Proving her capability and with the Chairman "at the helm" for a good part of the charter, route clearance accuracy was +/- 5M and the work was completed in record time!September 2010: Atlantic Guardian completes her 30 year ABS special survey, dry docking and refit. The refit included the installaiton of two large lab/survey rooms, a 12 sea cinema and an increase to 16 cabins and 31 berths. The ship has also completed a Statoil audit and has now commenced charter operations in the North Sea on the Sheringham Shoal windfarm for PLGR and cable installation support operations. Atlantic Guardian is then set to sail to the Irish sea to continue the workscope for DONG on the Windfarm areas offshore.August 2010: Atlantic Guardian has an R.O.V spread fitted to the ship. Available for hire as an optional extra, this 50M LBV ROV system is installed into the new refitted lab areas on board. June 2010 Atlantic Marine takes over the management of the, offshore support and servey vessel, "Atlantic Guardian". Formerly an oil well stimulation and offshore rig support ship, and more recently an ERRV Rig Standby ship, Atlantic Guardian is to be converted during the summer of 2010 into a multi purpose offshore ship. Identifying superyachts and ships around the world that are under arrest such as the motor yacht "Irena" - see our video of the yacht - can be purchased for less than market value, but the normal risks associated with this type of purchase can be more than offset by using the expertise and knowledge offered by Paul Crowther who will arrange the purchase, management and charter of this type of yacht. A consortium of Yacht buyers has been put together to purchase "low cost" assets and take advantage of the current devaluation in the market. Atlantic Marine is active in seeking to acquire yacht assets. 2010: (May) Avtech and Atlantic Marine exhibit at EBACE, the international business jet exhibition at the Palexpo in Geneva. 2010: May The Atlantic Marine owned King Air E90 goes back into operation. After a brief period in storage, the King Air G-ORTH has now been returned to its service, stripped, checked and prepared for flight by Avtech, and is back in operation. 2009 Atlantic Marine sales and Charter Company is rebranded to become Atlantic Marine and Aviation LLP. The company is actively seeking to acquire commercial and pleasure vessel tonnage. 2009: (May) Direct Fly UK commences operations. Direct Fly teams up with Direct Fly of Poland and Lithuania to offer Air Charter (AOC) operations on private jets and aircraft around Europe. Direct Fly UK are operators of private jets that are owned by Atlantic Marine and Aviation. 2009: (June) Atlantic Marine and Aviation takes a position on the board of Avtech Aviation. www.avtechaviation.co.uk - the revamped engineering business at London Biggin Hill airport receives investment and a new board of Directors for a new boost to its 35 years of history at the airport.
